Annamete Markwad and Thomas Adamsen founded PILGRIM in 1983. For the first year, they traveled the world in search of interesting ideas and materials for creating jewelry. Returning to their native Danish city of Skandeborg, in a small modest apartment, travelers create their first hand-made collection. Next, novice businessmen exhibit jewelry at trade fairs and music festivals in Denmark. Later, family and friends join the PILGRIM cause. A few years later, the PILGRIM team moves into the basement of a large old house. Having found its first office, PILGRIM continues its rapid development. And in just a few years, it becomes the leading brand of fashion jewelry.
