The Smog brand and the Moscow artist Liza Smirnova have released a joint collection of mono earrings
The Smog brand and Moscow artist Liza Smirnova have released a joint collection of five pieces. These are hand-painted mono-earrings of various shapes.
Liza Smirnova is engaged in a rare embroidery technique and made sketches for the SMOG brand in her own style. The collection is inspired by Spain, artist Juan Miro and kinetic mobiles.
To bring the project to life, an unusual material was chosen – porcelain. The choice was due to the fact that the porcelain is light and the color fits well on it. But creating molds for porcelain jewelry is not an easy job. For their development, an experienced craftswoman Alexandra Soskova was involved in the project. To decorate the jewelry, threads were used – the material that Lisa is familiar with.
The work on the collection took half a year. As a result, five unique, dissimilar monosaregs were created.
Porcelain jewelry requires special care, so manufacturers put a card in each box with a mono-earring on how to store the product and how to properly care for it.
