Shaun Lean plunged into the jewelry business when he was only 15 years old. For several years, he learned the intricacies of working with diamonds, engaged in the restoration of antique products, and since 1955 he began to collaborate with the famous fashion house of Alexander McQueen and gained unique experience designing jewelry for the fashion designer’s avant-garde collections.
Inspired by a fruitful collaboration with the master, Shaun Leane created his first collection “Signature” in 1999, the same year the Shaun Leane jewelry house was founded. Celebrating twenty years of his work in jewelry, he launches a collection of diamond jewelry in 2005. From that moment on, his fame skyrocketed. He won the British Jeweler of the Year Award four times, and his jewelry is worn by movie and show business stars – Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Daphne Guinness, Cameron Diaz.
For his collections, Sean Lin uses a wide variety of metals and stones, but prefers to work with diamonds and precious metals – gold and platinum. Gold is a durable and ductile material that can be easily engraved. White gold attracts the master with its sophistication, while yellow and pink gold attracts with its warm color and luxury.
In designing his pieces, the jeweler is inspired by the Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Victorian era jewelery collections. Shaun Leane cooperates with well-known companies and persons. He has collaborations with artist Sam Taylor-Wood, fashion designer Daphne Guinness, Boucheron, Forevemark, De Beers, Clé de Peau Beauté and Asprey.
Since then, countless real masterpieces of the highest level have been born in the hands of the master.
One of Lean’s standout pieces is the Woodland necklace, made in collaboration with Asprey, a premium home goods retailer. The decoration is made in the form of fern leaves, encrusted with emeralds and diamonds, and in the center it is decorated with a pendant with a pear-shaped Colombian emerald weighing 5.1 carats.
