The company was founded in 1939 by Henry Schreiner, who began his career manufacturing shoe buckles. The company has never released large editions, all collections were limited editions. Jewelers used high quality crystals, enamels, lucite. It should be noted that all Schreiner products are completely handmade.
A characteristic feature was the fact that no glue was used in the production – all elements were attached to the paws-creepers. Which is, today, one of the attributes used to identify unmarked company jewelry. Just like the innovation invented by Henry Schreiner, in the form of springs.
Namely, some parts of the decoration were attached to the base with the help of thin springs, which created a feeling of “liveness” of the object.
The company ceased to exist in 1977. All jewelry issued by Schreiner are collectible.
