Currently, he is the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Union of Artists. Works in the technique of monumental-decorative and jewelry art, owns almost all types of jewelry art techniques.

Candidate of Art History (topic: “The history and traditions of the Faberge firm in the stone-cutting art of Russia (the end of the 19th-beginning of the 21st centuries)”), the defense took place on May 25, 2012 at the Humanitarian University of Trade Unions, St. Petersburg.
Vladimir Khakhalkin created the author’s method – the synthesis of the plasticity of metal, stone and other ornamental materials, the transformation of natural motifs.
An original vision of the beauty of a stone and knowledge of the processing features of a particular mineral, which came with experience, are decisive in working on a composition, the key to a successful implementation of the plot.
