Viktor Anatolyevich Tuzlukov was born in 1964 in the Siberian city of Kemerovo.
Tuzlukov did not learn from professional cutters, and his natural striving for perfection was not limited to the requirements for cutting speed and maintaining the maximum mass of the stone at the expense of its beauty. In the polishing of the edges, in symmetry, in proportions – in everything he strove for the ideal, and his internal “bar” significantly exceeded the level accepted by professionals.
Having mastered the technique of precise cutting and having mastered the means for developing new designs, Victor chooses his own path – to cut stones according to complex author’s designs, using images and symbols in the facet pattern and turning the stone into a means of expressing artistic intent.
Viktor Tuzlukov’s works have been exhibited at solo exhibitions and in museums in Russia, the USA, France, Germany, Italy, China, Thailand, including the Smithsonian Institution, the Louvre Museum of Decorative Arts, the Natural History Museum of Luxembourg and the Fersman Mineralogical Museum in Moscow.
