The jewelry brand “Ekaterina Kostrigina” was born in St. Petersburg as a family business on the basis of an antique salon.
Ekaterina Kostrigina graduated from the Faculty of History of St. Petersburg University and she could deal with antiquities already at a professional level. Later she began to work with jewelry, complementing antique jewelry with her own works: a brooch, a ring, a lost earring.
Especially many brooches are issued. As Ekaterina herself said: “I myself love brooches very much. When I first started making them, they were not at all in fashion and most women associated them with an adornment from a grandmother’s chest. But, having seen my work, many clients shared their interest in brooches, and a few years later they became a real trend!”
Ekaterina Kostrigina’s jewelry is made by hand, jewelry is made of precious stones and metals – gold and silver, diamonds, sapphires, opal, amethyst, cacholong (a mixture of opal with chalcedony and quartz), topaz, jasper, pearls, tourmalines. Various techniques are used in jewelry – filigree and bimetality, combination of silver and gold in one product.
The team of Ekaterina Kostrigina consists of masters of their craft: jewelers, artists, stone cutters and enamellers.
