Jewelry artist Alexander Tenzo creates unique collections and the most complex products from colored precious stones. The style of the House of Tenzo is characterized by a harmonious combination of great-power luxury, characteristic of the traditions of the jewelry art of the Russian Empire.
Tenzo products reflect the breadth and immensity of our boundless country.
In the world, the Tenzo name is popular. In international catalogs of gemstone jewelry, the House of Tenzo name appears next to the names of such well-known companies as Cartier, Boucheron, Fabergé, Van Cleef & Arpels.
Alexander Tenzo’s company had several deposits of colored gemstones in Zambia, Tanzania, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, southern India (according to the latest data, the mines remained in Madagascar and Sri Lanka).
In Sri Lanka, Alexander was engaged in the extraction of stones (sapphires, spinels) together with the locals. “This business captured me so much that I stayed in Asia for several years. I visited Southeast Asia, Africa. I studied this area and the market for several years,” recalls Tenzo.
Later, Alexander became interested in polishing stones. This is very hard work. If the stone is rare, you first need to understand how to grind it, at what angle, where the stone has an upper and lower side.
“Later, I began to improve grinding tables. If you increase the level of grinding, then the stone will look even more interesting, and it can be sold. Over time, I began to understand that this could become my profession,” says Alexander Tenzo.
Alexandra Tenzo’s company sells its jewelry through jewelry exhibitions and on individual orders.
