Alexander Laut was founded 10 years ago. Already in childhood, Alexander was attracted by precious stones, to which his mother was not indifferent. She worked as a doctor, but gemology has always aroused her increased interest. Among her friends were jewelers who created original jewelry by her order. Love for precious stones passed to him from his mother. With the help of a home microscope, he independently tried to study the minerals.
Alexander became a doctor, but a strong attachment to minerals haunted him. Trying to fulfill himself, in the 90s he left for America. Lives for some time in Los Angeles, then moves to the Hawaiian Islands, where he works as a photographer, artist and gallery owner. Here he is in constant contact with European jewelry masters and develops his first jewelry made of pearls and gems.
Ronald Winston, the son of the famous American jeweler Harry Winston, played a decisive role in Laut’s later life. After he saw a few of Alexander’s first pieces of jewelry, he recommended that he take up the jewelry business seriously.
Fine and Rare Jewelry is soon added to the Alexander Laut brand. Lauth has always preferred ruby, sapphire and emerald. In his work, he uses only high-quality natural stones, which are very rare, so the designer is constantly on the lookout for unique gems. Since he lives in Asia, he often visits Bangkok and Honolulu, places where you can get perfect samples.
When developing the design of any product, the author pays great attention to colored stone, trying to emphasize its natural beauty. Lauth reveres the classics and treats “family jewelry” with great trepidation, so often in his design there is a classic style. They create jewelry that will never go out of fashion and will be passed down from generation to generation.
He likes to experiment with different colors of stones. The combination, for example, of a red ruby with a green emerald or blue sapphire looks harmonious and unique.
The best jewelry makers, according to the designer, are the Japanese, so he relies only on them in the production of his jewelry.
