Philippe Charriol, who for a long time was the sales director of the Cartier brand in the vast market of Asia and the United States, realizing the enormous potential of premium accessories, decided to found his own company in 1983.
The success began with the watch: a reliable Swiss movement combined with an original design quickly brought popularity to the new brand. Today, the Charriol brand produces jewelry, pens, bags, perfumes and, of course, frames and sunglasses.
The first “optical” collection of Charriol was released in 1993. Today, together with specialists from the French company Grosfilley Lunettes, one of the leaders in the production of premium eyewear, we are creating models that are more than just a necessary accessory.
Thanks to the use of the highest quality materials, including precious metals and precious and semi-precious stones, together with handcrafted work, unique products are born that embody the brand philosophy: “The Art of Living Differently” (L’Art de vivre la difference). Traditionally, the design of Charriol frames and sunglasses echoes the design of the brand’s line of watches or jewelry.
