Nardi was founded in 1820 by Giulio Nardi, an Italian jeweler and gemstone connoisseur from Florence. He opened his jewelry shop in Venice’s famous Piazza San Marco in 1925.
Today, Nardi, in addition to the Venetian store, has a branch in Padua at Piazzetta Pedrocchi, 17. The company is managed by Alberto Nardi, representing the third generation of company leaders. Today, the jewelry house is recognized as one of the most elegant fashion houses in the world. The Venetian brand Nardi gained worldwide fame in the post-war period.
The company is proud of its traditional jewelry and continues to produce series launched in the first half of the 20th century, among which the moretto sculptural brooches, which have become the hallmark of the company, are especially recognizable. The first such brooches were issued almost a hundred years ago – in 1930.
Of course, the beautiful Venice itself, with its famous carnivals, could not but inspire the creation of beautiful jewelry. This is how the Venice series was born. And, of course, images associated with the sea, among which the most common starfish.
