Mattia Cielo is the name of the company’s founder, an Italian by birth from a hereditary family of jewelers. However, in 2006 he decided to start his own company.
As he admitted in an interview, in 2005 he was looking for something special for his girlfriend (now wife). “Apart from large gemstones, there was nothing really intriguing in the jewelry market, only replicas of old styles.”
So he started working on crazy ideas with Massimiliano Bonoli, the best designer he had ever met.
They still work and create together. And, in fact, they are both responsible for the Mattia Cielo brand.
Their jewelry combines the latest technology, innovative materials and futuristic design.
Mattia himself admits that they integrate ideas from areas outside the jewelry industry: from aerospace, micromechanics and automation.
“We live in an age of movement. We move in space, on a global scale, in time, on the Internet. Therefore, our jewelry “moves” (moves).
In addition, humanity – when trying to create new tools and technologies – is always a fusion between man and machine. And our jewelry project is moving in this direction.”
