Each letter in the name of this Spanish brand has an important meaning for its founders: M Movement, A Art, M Mission.
MAM founders Jordi Enrique Alberto and Antja Tirado are not only constantly moving forward and creating jewelry that is equated to works of art on social networks, but also have a higher purpose. “We launched MAM to show our creative community the most environmentally friendly brand that reflects our vision of beauty,” says creative director Antja Tirado.
In terms of sustainable development, MAM really can’t be faulted. For example, the wood from which the designers make watches is mined with minimal impact on the environment (this is confirmed by the FSC certificate). MAM also uses dyes without harmful chemicals and recycled stainless steel its production requires 40% less water.
In 2014, Jordi Enrique Alberto and Antja Tirado conceived MAM not as a jewelry brand. The first collection featured only watches. Leather clutches, raffia bags and, most importantly, futuristic earrings, rings reminiscent of silver thimbles and cuffs imitating piercings (with or without chains) appeared later.
