Los Castillo is another trade mark of Mexican craftsmen, the presence of which on silver bracelets, earrings, pendants and other products indicates that the jewelry has a high artistic and collection value.
The Los Castillo brand unites the talents of the four brothers of the Castillo family, Antonio, Jorge, Miguel, Justo and Margot van Voorhis Carr, who became professionally known as Margot de Taxco, the wife of one of the brothers, Antonio Castillo. The brothers got jobs and began making silver jewelry in the trading enterprise of the same William Spratling. Almost all currently known Mexican craftsmen gained experience in the workshop of Thaler de las Delicias, an enterprising American.

In 1939, they left the workshop to open their own store and immediately began to implement the accumulated ideas and projects. Over time, the products of the Castillo brothers’ workshop became very popular and were sold in numerous stores in the United States. The brothers’ business was taken over by their descendants and to this day the family enterprise with the Los Castillo trademark produces silver jewelry that is known and deservedly appreciated all over the world.

The jewelry created by the brothers under the Los Castillo brand combines the movement of shape and shadow. Most often, these are jewelry depicting various animals in motion, which use smoothly flowing shapes into each other. Quite often, the Castillo brothers’ silver jewelry uses unusual and experimental design elements, for example, various inserts, feathers and a combination of different metals.
