Les Bernard started its journey in 1963. One of its founders, Bernard Shapiro, was already familiar with the jewelry business, his father Harold was a designer and co-owner of VOGUE. Lester Joy the second partner gave the company part of the name and innovative ideas. By relying on haute couture, the company has raised the bar very high. It is difficult to find repetitive jewelry at Les Bernard, they were made in very small editions, which was compensated by a large variety. They were the first to use marcasite in combination with silver and precious stones.

In the early 1980s, the company began a collaboration with the cult TV series of the time, Dynasty. Almost all the decorations in which the main characters, and not only the heroes, flaunted, were made by Les Bernard. The company closed in 1996.
