The founder of the Laguna costume jewelry brand was Royal Craftsmen Inc. in 1944 (USA). In the 50s there was a peak in fashion for pearl jewelry. Following fashion, Laguna initially produced jewelry made from artificial pearls. The excellent quality pearls and interesting design gave the impression of real jewelry. Laguna gradually expanded its range and after some time, began to actively use Austrian crystals, faceted beads and seed beads for the production of its costume jewelry. From the very foundation of the company, markings were placed on jewelry until the 60s.

In the 60s, markings were often not applied, and costume jewelry was sold in branded boxes or accompanied by labels on multi-colored ribbons. On the labels, Laguna was written in calligraphic handwriting, with a crown drawn above the inscription.
How the company existed for 36 years, and what designers created for it remains a mystery. Unfortunately, there is very little information, we only know that Laguna produced very high quality, always luxurious jewelry. It is also unknown what happened in 1980 with the production of Laguna, but it was in this year that she released her last collection. Now Laguna jewelry is very rare, especially from the period 1944-1960s.
