In the works of Lyudmila Kopyrina there is a special feeling of contact with a particle of natural force, the energy of the Earth. The same feeling is facilitated by working with metal, in which another element, Fire, is of great importance. The shape of the product is “sculpted” under fire, its final outlines and textures are formed under the flame.

Thanks to this approach and the method of processing the material, a concentrated, methodical and at the same time expressive author’s style was revealed in the things of Lyudmila Kopyrina. Shimmering black and white silver, scatterings of colored stones form very rich, deep, picturesque and multi-detailed textures. The surfaces of almost all products consist of numerous small soldered elements located at different levels and at different angles to each other, a large number of stones that seem to naturally “grow” out of the metal, as if out of the ground.
