It all started in 1835 when the founder of LEOPOLDO JANESICH opened the doors of the firm in the busy market town of Trieste in the early nineteenth century in Capo di Piazza, Italy.
By the mid-thirties, the firm had acquired more than ten years of practical experience and impeccable craftsmanship. The company determined the taste of a rich and varied clientele, and soon bankers, shipowners, merchants and high-ranking persons of noble origin began to come to him.
Even the most sophisticated shopper could not fail to be seduced by the exquisite quality of the jewelry sold at Janesich.
Several decades later, thanks to the fame of the Jewelery House, Leopoldo not only expands his contacts with suppliers in Florence, Rome, Venice and Milan, but also establishes connections with Germany and Austria. His son Giovanni, who helps his father, brings the glory of the House to France. In 1896, Giovanni founded a gem and pearl wholesaler on rue Lafayette in Paris.
Currently, the family tradition is continued by Francesco Janesic, the sixth heir to the family of jewelers.
