At the age of 15, Jackie Collins was expelled from school. Together with her older sister Joan, she went to Hollywood. During this period, she had a short but stormy affair with the young actor Marlon Brando.
She began acting in films in the 1950s. She starred in the ITC Entertainment mini-series Secret Agent and The Saint, but soon left the film industry.
From the early 1960s until the end of her life, she lived in the United States, where she turned to a literary career. In many novels, she described the vices of Hollywood celestials. In response to accusations of denigrating the stars, the writer said that the base passions described on the pages of her works pale in comparison to the dark realities of the cinematic backstage.
Jackie’s leopard, panther and cheetah jewelry became her signature style. Jackie created only a few collections in a relatively small edition. Each piece of jewelry reflects the dramatic, glamorous and perfect vision of the world of its creator. Traditionally, Jackie used gold-tone jewelry alloy, black enamel and Austrian crystals. Today, the jewelry she created has become vintage and collectible.
