German Gadzhievich Seferbekov (German Kabirski) is a world-class Lezgi jeweler. Kabir village in the Kurakhsky district of Dagestan.
Lived and worked in Moscow, then moved to Penza, several years ago moved to Bangkok, Thailand.
The name Kabirski became a brand after the appearance of the first collection. However, he still remains one of the most mysterious jewelers of our time. Kabirski does not give interviews, does not publish his photographs on principle. Meanwhile, interest in his person is huge. True connoisseurs of his talent are ready to sell their soul, just to see their idol and get the desired decoration from his hands.
Connoisseurs call Kabirski an aesthetic outcast, and he does not argue with this. Once a jeweler admitted that he would like to see his jewelry on extraordinary and even odious personalities.
He believes that “fashion exists for everyone, and style is the lot of the elite.”
Of the American brands, Kabirski singles out Harry Winston, Tiffany and Co, Jacob & Co and David Yurman. And among European brands, he prefers jewelry glam rock from the Englishman Stephen Webster (Stephen Webster), who studied with a rock jeweler in the mid-80s; “royal jokes” from Swiss Gilbert Albert, married to a Russian woman, who showed the world the possibility of an organic combination of precious stones and metals with meteorite fragments, petrified wood, scarab beetle shells, sea shells; as well as the Italian Roberto Coin, who managed to cover the skin with gold, creating sneakers!
German Kabirski himself fundamentally does not wear the rings, pendants and bracelets he created. Like his daughters, who for some reason are skeptical about jewelry. But the jeweler’s wife puts them on with great pleasure. Herman believes that every woman’s “malachite box” should have its own “gentleman’s set” of jewelry that would emphasize her individuality and carry positive energy.
German Kabirski’s jewelry is distinguished by its originality: the designer combines copper and gold, metal and fur, wood and diamonds.
Kabirsky is the winner of the Grand Prix of the International Jewelers’ Exhibition in St. Petersburg and the Best Jeweler of the Year award in Russia, the winner in the Technical Excellence nomination in London.
