In 1924, Enrico Grassi Damiani founded the Damiani jewelry house in Italy.
The family business was continued by the son of the founder of the company, Damiano Grassi Damiani. He inherited from his father the most important thing – talent. Damiano entered the history of jewelry as the inventor of the “Lunette” technology, thanks to which the setting adds extra sparkle to diamonds.
Today, the family business with an annual turnover of hundreds of millions of dollars is managed by the third generation of the Damiani family, with Gabriela Damiani as president. She designed the “Squalo” (“Shark”) bracelet, which received the Diamond International Awards from the famous De Beers in 1976.
This award became a pass to the highest jewelry league, the company received international recognition.
Today, Damiani has 18 Diamond International Awards, which are the highest recognition in the jewelry industry.
Damiani’s generation follows the family tradition, focusing on the production of precious products with diamonds. At the same time, the stones are inlaid into the nests by hand (today, rare companies use this method). Damiani jewelry uses only the highest quality diamonds.
Damiani jewelry is mainly decorated with traditional round cut diamonds. Round diamonds are the most expensive, as cutting significantly reduces the weight and size of the stone. Damiani – diamonds for every day: the company occupies a niche in the pret-a-porter de luxe jewelry class.
In collaboration with Sharon Stone, the Italian jewelry manufacturer created the Maji collection, whose name translates from Swahili as “water”. The model range, symbolizing the main element of life, was created for charitable purposes. In 2008, Stone became the face of the brand.
Longtime fans of the Italian brand are Ashland Gores, Ken Baker, Jason Kennedy, Gwyneth Paltrow, Paris Hilton, Mila Jovovich, Isabella Rossellini, Samantha Harris.
