Butler & Wilson was founded by Londoners Nicky Butler and Simon Wilson. In 1969 they began by selling antique jewelry from their stand at the Antiquarius Market in Chelsea, London. And already in 1972, their first boutique with jewelry of their own production opened. The first collections were created in the Art Deco style.
Jewelry from Butler & Wilson quickly became popular, but real fame came to them after a sensational advertising campaign in 1982, for which such movie stars and style icons as Catherine Deneuve, Faye Dunaway, Charlotte Rampling and Geri Hall starred. After this there was a successful collaboration with the house of Giorgio Armani and the creation of costume jewelry for the Pirelli calendar.
In 1988, their first boutique opened in Hollywood. The company exists to this day and produces, in addition to beautiful and stylish jewelry for women, clothes, handbags, wedding dresses, as well as jewelry for men.
