The history of the Anda Modes brand began in December 1953 in New York. The founder and owner of the family business Anda Modes Inc was Manhattan native Samuel D. Pressman (1905-1988).
The company produced high-quality brooches using gold and silver-toned metal alloys, art glass imitating natural stones, artificial pearls, crystals and rhinestones.
From the very beginning, the company participated in style and design exhibitions that took place in New York. Thus, in the catalog of “The Allied Shoe Products Show” for 1958 and 1959, the company is listed as a leading manufacturer of shoe jewelry.
The company ceased to exist in September 1981.
