History of jewelry company (1932-now).
The company was engaged in the production of jewelry in the technique of damascene (damaskin) and souvenirs. During the Second World War, the company was temporarily closed, but since 1946 it has resumed its activities. In Amita Damascene Masters Training School was opened in 1952. In 1966, the company was renamed Amita Jewelry Co., Ltd.
The company rapidly developed and grew rapidly, the field of activity changed, and by the mid-1980s, many souvenir shops, one large jewelry store, several restaurants, and a metalworking manufactory were opened. In 1985, AMITA Co., Ltd. participated in ’85 KYOTO and International Exhibition Tsukuba Japan 1985 with her collection of damascene pieces. Amita still exists today.

In Japan, the damascene technique has its own technical characteristics and is called shakudo. This name comes from the dark background of the alloy.
Initially, katanas and armor were decorated with this technique. Images of flowers and plants, landscapes and various patterns were created by inlaying precious metals with alloy bases. And the blackened background was achieved with the help of acids.
