AMCO (A. MICALLEF & CO., INC) was founded in the United States in 1919. It was a small manufacturing operation that created limited edition jewelry.
The AMCO hallmark first appeared on jewelry in 1935, although the mark remained unregistered until July 1962. The company exclusively manufactured gold and silver jewelry, including rings, cameo brooches, pendants, bracelets, and earrings.
AMCO manufactured gold and silver jewelry, as well as luxury high-end costume jewelry using 10, 12, and 14 karat gold plating, as well as cultured pearls, high-quality rhinestones to imitate precious stones, celluloid, and semi-precious stones.
AMCO Jewelry closed in the 1970s. Today, these vintage pieces are highly valuable and continue to increase in value.
