A dynasty of jewelers named Aletto, whose skill has been known for more than five generations, originates in Naples with the Italian jeweler Bartolomeo Aletto. Great-grandfather Alfredo Aletto received an order to make decorations for the opening of the Eiffel Tower. In 1962, Bartolomeo’s grandson, Alberto Aletto, moved to the United States, where he continued the family tradition and excelled in the technique of invisible setting and faceted work, for which the Aletto Brothers brand is best known.
Alberto worked alongside his three sons and taught his brothers the art of goldsmithing. Five generations have been making jewelry by hand. All of them were self-taught. The company is currently run by Alfredo Aletto (great-grandson of Bartolomeo) and his four children.
