Alessandro Dari has found his place among modern jewelers, his jewelry (mostly rings) are recognizable and have their own bright personality.
From the eighties to the present day, Alessandro Dari has created more than 900 pieces of jewelry, which he divided into collections: “Gothic”, “Castles”, “Music”, “Alchemy” and “Sacred Art”.
Alessandro Dari is Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Architecture of Florence. His works are in the Museum of Silver in Florence and the Museum of the Cathedral in Fiesole. In 2003 he was awarded the Perseus Prize as the best artist of the city and in 2006 he was appointed artist of the Vatican.
Among the significant and famous publications of the jeweler is the book-catalog “Alchemy of Forms”, which contains most of his creations, tells about the technique of work and gives the philosophy of Alessandro. The essence of his philosophy was born 20 years ago, when the master realized that the main goal of the artistic movement is to free the form from the shackles. Thanks to perceptual dynamism, the work of art is freed from the imprisonment of statics and placed in a dynamism that tends to infinity.
The names that Alessandro Dari gives to his jewelry are fully consistent with his philosophy: “Alchemy in the Renaissance”, “Space and Time”, “Light and Shadows of the Soul”, “Gothic”, “Mirage”, “Guardians of Souls”, “Florentine Heart” and etc. The jeweler addresses emotions, time, space and souls through his jewelry.
Working with precious stones, Alessandro seems to explore them, strives to give them a continuation, making them more than jewelry. The completeness of his works is achieved through movement, through that same perceptual dynamism.
Jewelry by Alessandro Dari are precious microsculptures or even microarchitecture works that are unique. The master himself sincerely believes that jewelry art should receive much greater recognition at the world level.
