Aksel Holmsen is a jeweler from Norway. After training, he worked in jewelry making in the workshop of David Anderson. Having gained experience, in the early 1900s he opened his own jewelry workshop.
His products are known for painted enamels, beautiful patterns and floral motifs, as well as butterflies. He most often made his products from silver in the Norwegian and Art Deco styles.
In 1950, Holmsen retired and his son Ivar took over the company. Axel Holmsen died in 1962, and his company declared bankruptcy in 1971.
